Projekt 1: SafeSec System Modeling
Siegfried Hollerer
Siegfried’s journey into technology started with attending the Higher Technical College of Industrial Engineering Specializing in Manufacturing Computer Science in Hollabrunn (in German: HTL Hollabrunn Abteilung Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen – Ausbildungsschwerpunkt Betriebsinformatik).
Afterwards, the Bachelor studies IT-Security and Master studies Information Security at St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences were chosen to obtain in depth knowledge in this area. While writing his Master thesis, Siegfried started to work part time as a penetration tester.
After obtaining the Master’s degree, he continued to work in this role for 4 years, focusing on infrastructure and Web application tests, system hardening checks and vulnerability assessments. Moreover, experience in incident response and software engineering were gained.
Additionally, the international acknowledged certifications OSCP (Offensive Security Certified Professional) and CREST CRT (Crest Registered Penetration Tester) were obtained. Additionally, Siegfried performed (and still does) risk assessments and gap analyses based on the standard IEC 62443, which aims at securing IACS (Industrial Automation and Control Systems).

Maximilian Papa
Beginn: 01.01.2021

Maximillian Papa has developed a deep passion for technology at an early age. This led him to graduate from the higher technical college for health technology in 2013, besides he deepened his knowledge in computer science as a freelance. In 2017 he completed his bachelor's degree in "Mechatronics/Robotics" at the UAS Technikum Wien and in 2019 he graduated in the corresponding master's degree. Meanwhile, he joined in 2017 on the UAS internal research project "Safety & Security in intelligent production environments 4.0", which strongly influenced his project works and master thesis topic. After graduation he supported the program "Mechatronics/Robotics" as deputy director and starting on 01.01.2021 he will be working on his dissertation in the field of automated safety assessment procedures for dynamically reconfigurable work systems. His main research areas therefore include safety and security of Cyber Physical Production Systems, Robotics and the associated
